IDERS was formed in 1991 to turnkey design and produce secure wholly novel electronic payment transaction systems for CIBC, Canada’s largest chartered bank under a fixed-price contract. These systems set the standard for secure mag stripe and smartcard terminals and pinpads deployed across North America. Upon conclusion of this initial design, IDERS produced ~10,000 initial systems – tuning the design and process before transitioning the design to a contract EMS provider.

Since the conclusion of our initial project, IDERS has worked in a multitude of industries and technology spaces, designing systems that are in operation in over 80 countries worldwide.
