Senior Hardware Designer

IDERS develops and manufactures electronic/software and mechanical systems for railway, aerospace, financial transaction applications and more for our global clients. We are looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Hardware Designer with our team. Responsibilities: This position will have a wide range of responsibilities in the IDERS hardware group including: Develop, test, and support manufacturing of electronic hardware in conjunction with the rest of the design team Develop production test and inspection fixtures and procedures Design electronic hardware at the schematic level Perform design validation testing of electronic hardware Interact with mechanical engineering, production, and software groups Practical knowledge and experience with debugging in a laboratory environment Work with customers and engineering staff to bring products to market Lead Hardware projects Supervise Junior H/W designers Work with H/W group manager to meet project deadline Occasional travel, both locally and internationally, to participate in product installations, meetings, and research may be required Requirements: B.Sc. in EE/TE 3 to 5 years experience in electronics hardware design Digital and Analog design Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc. Good communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented Good leadership skills Flexible problem solving skills The following experience would be considered assets: RF electronics design FPGA design, preferably in VHDL OrCad schematic capture PCB Layout experience Soldering Mark your resume with: Senior Hardware Designer Submit text based resume only to: hardware@iders.ca Or fax to 444-5900, attention: Hardware Group Manager No drop-ins, please.
