IDERS
was formed in 1992 to turnkey design and produce secure wholly novel electronic
payment transaction systems for CIBC, Canada’s largest chartered bank
under a fixed-price contract. These systems set the standard for secure
mag stripe and smartcard terminals and pinpads deployed across North America.
Upon conclusion of this initial design, IDERS produced ~10,000 initial systems
– tuning the design and process before transitioning the design to
a contract EMS provider.
IDERS has since participated in a wide variety of projects. In each case,
IDERS was sought out for its adherence to principles of design excellence,
creativity and ability to bring technologies to market.
Since the conclusion of our initial project, IDERS has worked in a multitude
of industries and technology spaces, designing systems that are in operation
in over 80 countries worldwide. These products have been or continue to
be produced in quantities hundreds of thousands per year with $300 pricing
to systems produced in dozens or hundreds per year valued over $100,000
each. In every case, IDERS worked with the customer to identify the metrics
for success, co-developed a specification with the customer and ultimately
executed the commercially desirable design, product or system. |
